The body as a template, a stage, and a translator.Every fabric or material carries a unique narrative that I center in my art. By balancing my vision for the material with what the material seems to ask for, my work becomes a collaboration. Working with fiber and ceramic allows me to intuit and process my tactile experience of the world. I aim to expand the ways materials can interact within artistic spaces.
My garments function as a form of personal expression rather than material practicality. I believe garments can hold universal lived experiences that extend beyond fashion’s impermanence. I work within fashion because the body offers a distinct structure through which to express the human experience. My practice blurs the boundary between art and fashion by engaging with ideas of performance and politics throughout the work.
